Dr John O’Bryen

Skin cancer doctor, Dr John O’Bryen, is a specialist general practitioner who has done further training in skin cancer medicine and surgery. He was born in Buderim and raised in Toowoomba. Mrs Temi Lyng

You can get a skin cancer check on Fridays with Temi, who is a dermal therapist. Temi holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Dermal Therapies and a Professional Diploma in Dermoscopy. She has spent the last 10 years conducting skin checks in various workplaces Australia wide, where she has developed the skills to detect early melanoma and skin cancers. During this time she has also worked in a clinic based setting providing comprehensive skin checks and mole mapping services. Temi is passionate about skin health and education while maintaining her patient-centred approach.

Temi is not a doctor and therefore does not perform biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy or provide scripts. If Temi finds a skin lesion of concern, you can rebook to see Dr John O’Bryen (his fees apply), or you are welcome to see your regular GP. A skin check with Ms Temi Lyng costs $99. No Medicare or private health rebates apply. Businesses can pay to have their employees get skin checks with Temi. Payment on the day with EFTPOS is required.
